ANSYS and Fujitsu partner to accelerate simulation speed for Chiyoda using ANSYS HPC Pack licensing and cloud computing resources

Chiyoda Corporation, a global engineering firm serving the hydrocarbon and chemical industries, was challenged to complete very large ANSYS Fluent simulations quickly but its internal IT was overtaxed. ANSYS recommended leveraging ANSYS HPC Pack licensing and a cloud partner to give Chiyoda flexible, scalable compute capacity for complex CFD and two‑phase flow analyses.

ANSYS helped Chiyoda combine its ANSYS HPC Pack licenses with Fujitsu’s Technical Computing Cloud and a custom web‑based HPC portal (deployed via the UberCloud platform) to run ANSYS Fluent on up to 32 parallel cores. The solution delivered measurable gains—up to 6× faster than a four‑way parallel job and typically 2× faster than Chiyoda’s on‑premises environment—enabling quicker results delivery and scalable use of ANSYS licenses.
