StudyMode - Customer Case Study

StudyMode, a Los Angeles–based e-learning platform founded in 1999, needed a way for students to connect one-on-one around specific questions and complement its existing library of research papers. Building an in-house Q&A was judged too slow and expensive, and evaluated open-source and competing commercial options lacked the advanced moderation, customization, user management, and analytics StudyMode required.

In 2015 StudyMode implemented AnswerHub, using its API to fully customize and integrate a branded Q&A community with topic-based Spaces, moderation tools, and reporting. The result was a centralized place for research and peer support, stronger engagement (over an 80% answer rate recently), faster responses, and easier community management so the team can focus on growing and improving the student experience.
