PlayFab - Customer Case Study

PlayFab, a live‑ops platform for game developers founded in 2014, needed a better way to support its highly technical developer community. Their Zendesk forums were overwhelmed by spam, forcing staff to moderate every post; PlayFab required a reputation‑based permissions model so vetted users could bypass moderation, plus an accurate, fast migration of existing forum content.

PlayFab selected DZone Software’s AnswerHub KDS and worked with AnswerHub engineers to build a Zendesk importer and launch the new community in June 2016. The move delivered a 50% increase in community questions, Best Answers and ideation features for clearer insights into developer needs, reputation‑based publishing to reduce moderation load, a smooth content migration, and full branding customization via GitHub.
