Narrative Clip - Customer Case Study
Narrative makes the Narrative Clip, a tiny automatic camera and app that continuously captures and uploads users' daily photos to the cloud. As a hardware-focused startup, co-founder Simon Pantzare faced the need for a highly automated, hands-off continuous deployment pipeline to scale reliably across AWS-hosted application servers.
Narrative uses Ansible Tower to provision AWS assets, install built deb packages, and deploy application components via job templates; Auto Scaling launches new EC2 instances that callback to Tower to auto-configure and pull the latest code. The result is a robust, low-touch deployment workflow that replaced fragile scripts, made it much easier to add capacity, and gave developers visibility and control over infrastructure and deployments.
