Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, a local authority in the West Midlands, faced challenges in harnessing its data due to the lack of a centralized corporate data warehouse. This made data integration difficult and led to inconsistent, manual processes that prevented a unified view of information. The Council partnered with ANS to implement a modern data platform to overcome these hurdles and mature its data and analytics capabilities.

ANS deployed a modernized data platform using Microsoft Azure Synapse for the council. Through its Data Centre of Excellence Service, ANS provided skilled personnel to work alongside the in-house team, delivering a key use case in Children’s Social Care and ensuring technical knowledge transfer. As a result, Solihull's internal team gained the skills and confidence to leverage their data for evidence-based decision making and to continue their digital strategy journey independently.
