They partnered with vendor ANS to implement a sustainable, cloud-based modern data platform using Microsoft Azure, specifically the ANS Synapse Data Platform Accelerator, to centralize their data and unlock valuable insights.

ANS designed and implemented a production-ready Azure Synapse data platform for the council, following a thorough planning and design phase. The solution enabled the standardization of analysis and reporting with Power BI and provided a foundation for specific use cases like monitoring rent arrears and safeguarding children. As a result, the London Borough of Islington now has a functioning modern data platform that supports its goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2030.
