East Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust serves over half a million people with ANS Azure migration

East Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust needed to transition to a cloud-first strategy to provide better access to clinical systems but lacked the in-house cloud experience to migrate its large on-premises data center estate. The Trust engaged vendor ANS after a competitive tender process to help with its migration to Microsoft Azure.

ANS successfully migrated the Trust's Electronic Patient Record system to Azure and provided expertise from its Cloud Centre of Excellence to build a new cloud-native Shared Care Record service called PLEXUS. This allowed clinicians and patients to retrieve a patient's entire medical journey from a single place, leading to better, more informed decisions at the point of care and improved patient outcomes. ANS is now upskilling the Trust's internal team to take on more cloud development.
