A Angoss Case Study
A U.S. manufacturer of specialty coatings and products with more than $5 billion in annual revenue and over 10,000 corporate travelers was spending roughly $120 million a year on travel and entertainment (T&E). The company had an extremely large volume of expense submissions and limited ability to detect improperly submitted, non‑compliant, abusive or fraudulent claims.
Using Concur T&E data combined with employee, corporate and known‑fraud records, Angoss built an analytical data mart and a simple browser‑based tool that applied outlier analysis to rank individuals and claims by risk. By comparing individual patterns, peer‑group behavior and transaction details, the solution let managers and auditors prioritize investigations, reduce analysis time and better control T&E spending while also improving expense categorization, catching honest errors, enforcing policies and quantifying restitution.
