How we helped Airbnb design a gift experience for their annual Hackathon event

Airbnb partnered with &Open to create merch for its annual Hackathon event. The Ground Control team needed practical, commemorative gifts that would motivate engineers to submit new product ideas and reflect the event’s spirit.

&Open designed a branded “GO kit” gift bundle inspired by the Hackathon visual identity, featuring a Nalgene water bottle, wallet, corduroy cap, tie-dye socks, card holder, and reusable cotton pouch. The solution delivered a useful, cohesive event gift experience, though the case study did not provide any measurable results or quantitative impact.
