The City of San Diego, a municipal government of over 10,000 employees serving 1.3 million residents, relied on SAP for finance, logistics and HCM but struggled to keep training and help content current. Content creation had been sporadic due to limited development resources, and the city needed to refresh SAP training and introduce a stronger customer-service focus while making maintenance easier.

The ERP Division adopted ANCILE uPerform and its Rapid Recorder to empower roughly 150 subject-matter experts to produce step-by-step guides, simulations and e-learning that integrate directly into SAP and export to SuccessFactors for tracking and certification. This approach put in-app “Help” at employees’ fingertips, enabled citywide training for more than 10,000 users, reduced bottlenecks, and made it far easier to maintain and trust current learning content.
