Infirmary Health, Alabama’s largest non-governmental health system serving an 11-county area and more than 800,000 patients annually, faced a major training challenge after rolling out the Epic EMR: each semester it must efficiently train 500–600 nursing students and hundreds of clinical staff to use the system while maintaining HIPAA compliance and minimizing burden on busy nurses. Before the change, nurses printed records, closely monitored student access, and spent significant time managing paper workflows.

IH implemented ANCILE uPerform® content delivered through its iLearn (LifeCareU) portal to create nursing-specific, on-demand lessons with “Show Me, Guide Me, Test Me” modules accessible from any browser or device. The program standardized semesterly training, provided accredited/CME-eligible content, increased knowledge sharing, reduced time spent on manual record handling, improved students’ EMR proficiency and confidence, and delivered measurable operational efficiencies and better patient care.
