NVIDIA, a Fortune 50 GPU manufacturer, needed a scalable way to secure thousands of containerized apps and hundreds of thousands of containers across diverse CI/CD tools, registries, and business units. Its existing traditional scanning tools were too slow, too complex, and produced too many false positives for container workloads, especially for large images and the NVIDIA GPU Cloud (NGC) catalog. NVIDIA turned to Anchore, using Anchore Enterprise and Anchore Syft to support container security at scale.

Anchore implemented a centrally hosted, API-driven Anchore Enterprise deployment that integrated with NVIDIA’s CI/CD pipelines and registries, enabled inline scanning, and supported customizable business-unit policies and centralized reporting. Anchore’s scalable architecture improved pipeline speed and productivity, while vendor-specific vulnerability feeds reduced false positives and gave security teams better visibility through centralized metrics. As a result, NVIDIA could scan containers earlier in development, avoid delays, and better manage security across its container ecosystem.
