Nemours Using Consumer Feedback to Build a Robust Telemedicine Program

Nemours Children’s Health System faced rising consumer demand for convenient pediatric care and wanted to design a telehealth program that parents would trust and actually use. After market research revealed parents’ preferences—white-label branding, Epic EHR integration, scheduling compatibility and real-time eligibility checks—Nemours vetted vendors and partnered with Amwell to implement a white‑labeled telehealth service, Nemours CareConnect.

Amwell delivered the telehealth platform (via the Amwell Exchange) integrated with Nemours’ systems and branding, enabling CareConnect to launch in Florida and expand to Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Georgia. The program has enrolled more than 28,000 patients, achieved a 4.7/5 family satisfaction rating, and helped 64% of users avoid higher-cost sites of care such as EDs or urgent care—demonstrating clear clinical and financial impact.
