Wellstar Health System, a large nonprofit health system in Georgia, needed to rapidly scale telehealth across inpatient and ambulatory care as COVID‑19 spread. Amwell‑supported deployment delivered measurable impact: within four weeks 60% of providers were using virtual care, and within six weeks Wellstar completed over 50,000 virtual visits (including 42,000 video visits from March 23–May 12) and saw a 350% increase in WellstarON enrollments. The expansion included a Quarantine Care service, reduced PPE use in inpatient units, and rapid provider adoption through training and streamlined billing, improving access and continuity of care.
