How MVP Health Care Used Telehealth to Deliver More Personal Care to Members

MVP Health Care, a not‑for‑profit regional health plan serving more than 700,000 members in New York and Vermont, needed a way to deliver more personal, convenient care across its communities. To meet that challenge, MVP partnered with Amwell and deployed Amwell’s enterprise telehealth platform, white‑labeled as myVisitNow, so members could access care when and where they needed it.

Amwell enabled MVP to launch multiple telehealth service lines—including 24/7 urgent care, behavioral health, psychiatry, lactation, nutrition and care management—while engaging local provider groups to improve continuity. The myVisitNow program produced measurable results: 30% of registered members had a visit, 93% rated their experience “excellent” (97% rated their provider excellent), and post‑visit surveys showed telehealth diverted utilization from urgent care/ER and reached 20% of members who otherwise would have done nothing, demonstrating clear access and satisfaction gains.
