EDF Energy Networks worked with AMT-SYBEX after bringing together three legacy distribution businesses and inheriting the challenge of managing more than 1.8 million assets across separate, aging asset management systems and processes. The company needed a more integrated asset management information strategy, better data accuracy, and tools that would make asset information easier to access and maintain across both office and field teams.

AMT-SYBEX implemented its Ellipse enterprise asset management solution along with a mobile field working solution to create a single source of truth for asset records, streamline inspection and maintenance workflows, and enable field engineers to update data remotely. The result was improved data quality, greater visibility across the enterprise, reduced reliance on paper records, and support for PAS 55 certification; the project also delivered a projected payback period of five to seven years and helped reduce the risk of noncompliance and poor maintenance planning.
