Workforce Connection, the Fresno County Workforce Investment Board, needed to replace aging voice and data infrastructure that was reaching end-of-life and creating support risk, all under a tight federal funding deadline. To avoid losing funding and reduce productivity lost to travel and manual moves/adds/changes, the agency sought a cost-effective converged communications solution from AMS.NET, including Cisco Unified Communications and related voice/video products.

AMS.NET designed and deployed a turnkey Cisco Unified Communications environment across eight sites, including Cisco Unified CallManager, Cisco Unity unified messaging, Cisco routers and Catalyst PoE switches, Cisco Unified Video Advantage, and nearly 400 Cisco Unified IP Phones. The result was better client service, easier self-management for IT, faster support, and improved remote communication options; Workforce Connection also gained several hours per month in employee time by reducing travel to meetings and simplifying communications workflows.
