Cisco Partner AMS.NET Helps County Department Unify 100+ Sites with Cisco IP Communications

The Santa Clara County Office of Education needed to replace aging, dissimilar PBX phone systems across 100+ sites and provide 1,000 users with a consistent dial plan and common telephony features. AMS.NET helped the county evaluate its options and proposed a Cisco IP communications solution, including Cisco CallManager, integrated service routers, analog gateway, and remote site routers, designed to work with the organization’s existing network infrastructure.

AMS.NET implemented the first phase for 614 users across the main administration building and five remote sites, deploying 554 IP phones at the main site and 60 at remote locations. The solution delivered four-digit dialing across district buildings, faster moves/adds/changes, and a scalable platform for future phases, while AMS.NET’s phased approach and train-the-trainer program helped SCCOE stay within budget and prepare for broader rollout to the remaining sites.
