A AMS.NET Case Study
Antioch Unified School District (Antioch USD) needed a better way to back up its heavily virtualized environment. Supporting about 2,000 employees and more than 18,000 students across 25 schools, the district had moved nearly all of its servers to nine ESXi hosts and was frustrated with a backup tool originally designed for physical servers. AMS.NET introduced Veeam Backup & Replication as a virtualization-specific solution that would simplify backups and reduce costs.
With AMS.NET’s help, Antioch USD implemented Veeam Backup & Replication to streamline backup and replication to its DR site. The district reported easier deployment, consistent backups, faster full VM and file-level recovery, and more flexible testing in a virtual lab. Most notably, Antioch USD said Veeam reduced yearly maintenance and support costs by approximately 40% while eliminating hidden licensing fees and improving backup efficiency.
