Coursera, the online education platform, was relying on a home-grown analytics system that couldn’t scale and made it hard for marketing teams to quickly understand what was driving growth. The company needed a faster, self-serve way to monitor user behavior and improve campaign performance, and turned to Amplitude Analytics as part of its tech stack.
Using Amplitude’s Anomaly + Forecast in Amplitude Analytics, Coursera quickly identified that calls to action (CTAs) were fueling traffic spikes, then used Amplitude Experiment to optimize those CTAs. This led to about 30% growth in high-value traffic and course registrations, while also improving the quality of registrants.
