Paired, the couples relationship app, wanted to improve engagement and reduce early drop-off after strong initial downloads showed that many users were not returning regularly. The team used Amplitude Analytics and Amplitude Experiment to better understand user behavior, identify key moments in the journey, and connect qualitative feedback with quantitative data.

Using Amplitude, Paired tested small product tweaks and new features through 13 experiments, focusing on early engagement and subscription cancellations. The results included a 5% increase in free-to-paid trial conversion, a 40% lift in key engagement metrics, and reduced trial cancellations, while users reported better conversations and feeling closer to their partners.
