Preply, an online language learning marketplace, wanted to accelerate adoption of Amplitude across its product team but found that many teammates lacked confidence, hands-on experience, and trust in the data. To address this challenge, Preply used Amplitude as part of its Data Academy initiative to improve data-driven decision-making and reduce ad hoc requests to the data team.
Amplitude helped Preply design a targeted training program with self-paced videos, quizzes, live workshops, and team-specific exercises. The results were strong: the training earned an NPS of 89, the self-paced content scored 4.8/5, about 60 of 90 participants completed the self-paced section, around 80 joined live sessions, and weekly active users in Amplitude doubled. Preply also used insights from Amplitude to drive business wins, including a 5% increase in new-subscriber conversion after making Apple Pay the default option and a 4% increase in paid-student conversion after adding a “buy more hours” call to action.
