How Strong Instrumentation Lays the Groundwork for Product-led Growth at Appfire

Appfire, a leading provider of software that extends platforms like Atlassian, Microsoft, monday.com, and Salesforce, needed to build a company-wide product analytics program to support its product-led growth strategy. With many acquired apps at different levels of analytics maturity, Appfire needed trustworthy data, a common taxonomy, and a way to understand user behavior across its portfolio. Amplitude was chosen to provide the reliable analytics foundation the company needed.

Amplitude helped Appfire roll out a standardized instrumentation and governance framework, starting with a pilot and expanding to 35 apps in the first year. The team used Amplitude to track activation journeys, run onboarding and friction-reduction experiments, and connect product behavior to revenue. As a result, Appfire saw 10–14% gains in product activation from similar experiments, and found that a 10% improvement in activation can drive a 2.5–3% lift in license conversion.
