How Appfire Developed and Evangelized a Common Activation Methodology

Appfire, a software company serving Atlassian, Microsoft, monday.com, and Salesforce users, needed a better onboarding and activation process across its growing portfolio of 100+ B2B apps. Its analytics were fragmented and inconsistently instrumented, making it hard to understand user behavior and improve activation, so Appfire turned to Amplitude Analytics to create a more standardized, data-driven approach.

With Amplitude, Appfire built a portfolio-wide activation methodology, aligned product teams on shared journey maps, and ran experiments to remove friction in onboarding and setup. The vendor’s platform helped Appfire scale about eight activation journey maps and implementations per month, improve activation across 38 apps, and achieve early post-experiment gains of 10–14%; in one Jira app, changes to the onboarding flow drove a 117% increase in users reaching the signup moment.
