How AB InBev Got 2M SMBs Buzzing with a Next-gen B2B Platform

AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, needed a better way to serve its many small and midsize business customers as its traditional rep-based ordering model was limited by business hours and manual processes. To scale its digital transformation, AB InBev launched the BEES B2B e-commerce platform and added Amplitude to its stack to better understand customer behavior and needs.

With Amplitude, AB InBev gained actionable insights from app interactions to improve BEES, simplify registration, and make ordering more convenient for customers. The results were strong: by the first half of 2021, BEES had more than 1.8 million monthly active users and over $7.5B in GMV, with 40% of orders coming in outside business hours.
