Dave used Amplitude to establish product-market fit, increase retention and expand their suite of fintech products

Dave is a consumer fintech helping Americans manage budgeting, build credit, find work and bridge paychecks. As the company scaled, product teams needed to move from intuition-driven decisions to a mature, data-driven development process to improve onboarding, retention and validate new product bets like Side Hustle and a checking account.

They implemented Amplitude quickly and used cohorts, funnels, Microscope and Amplitude Engage (with Braze) to optimize onboarding, target “successful members,” and run experiments. The results: users who add expenses in onboarding are 5.7x more likely to be active at 3 months, MAUs have doubled since adopting Amplitude, Side Hustle drove ~8% MoM growth, overall adoption grew ~10% MoM, they saw a 46% jump in review click-throughs, and the team now answers 3,000+ analytics questions per month.
