Cox Automotive, part of the Cox Enterprises family, needed a faster, more insightful way to analyze user behavior across its Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book apps. Its homegrown analytics stack relied on custom SQL and Snowflake queries, making it hard to quickly identify the levers that would improve lead conversions and registrations, especially for product, UX, and engineering teams.

Cox Automotive chose Amplitude Analytics to add segmentation, cohort analysis, A/B testing, and better visualization. Using Amplitude to focus on actions correlated with leads and registrations, the team redesigned the Autotrader app and launched the new Kelley Blue Book app, increasing lead conversion rates by 50% and tripling full registration rates from 12% to 38% in just two quarters.
