Case Study: Mecklenburg County achieves streamlined grant management, reduced risk, and greater accessibility with AmpliFund

A AmpliFund Case Study

Preview of the Mecklenburg County Case Study

How the 2nd largest county in North Carolina streamlined their grant management processes and established a user-friendly experience with AmpliFund’s Grant Maker Solution

Mecklenburg County, one of North Carolina’s largest counties serving more than one million residents across eight municipalities, was struggling to manage growing grant programs using email and spreadsheets. To reduce risk, improve accessibility, and ensure deserving programs didn’t miss out due to administrative oversights, the County partnered with AmpliFund and adopted its grant maker functionality and Applicant Portal.

AmpliFund centralized and tracked all grants, provided a public Applicant Portal for standardized submissions, and implemented workflows for consistent review, scoring, and post-award management. As a result, Mecklenburg County reported a significant increase in applications, faster and more efficient distribution of funds (including ARPA awards), reduced errors and administrative burden, and improved equity and access in awarding decisions.
