UCHealth needed a faster, more scalable way to onboard large volumes of Epic residents, especially during the pandemic, when classroom space and trainer availability were limited. To solve this, UCHealth worked with Amplifire, using its adaptive eLearning platform for Epic resident onboarding.

Amplifire replaced much of the classroom training with personalized online learning that adapted to each learner’s knowledge gaps, helping residents complete training faster and only focus on what they still needed to master. The results included onboarding 500 residents in one hour instead of six weeks, saving 256 trainer hours and over $200K per year in consulting costs, while UCHealth also estimated total savings of $1.45 million and reported stronger learner engagement and satisfaction.
