Preview of the Sepsis Case Study

Sepsis - Customer Case Study

Sepsis, a large U.S. health system’s nursing population, faced the challenge of improving early recognition and treatment of a condition that kills hundreds of thousands of Americans each year and can be difficult to identify at first presentation. The organization needed a better way to reduce misinformation and uncertainty among nurses so they could make faster, more accurate decisions about sepsis care.

Amplifire provided its confidence-based e-learning platform to train 1,051 nurses on sepsis diagnosis and treatment, using adaptive learning to find and fix confidently held misinformation and uncertainty in real time. The program выявed 12,937 instances of confidently held misinformation and 17,273 instances of uncertainty; by the end, 100% of completing nurses were confident and correct on all course information, with individualized study time ranging from 24 to 46 minutes depending on prior knowledge.
