CLABSI - Customer Case Study

CLABSI, a major U.S. health system spanning 23 hospitals, wanted to reduce central line–associated bloodstream infections by improving nurses’ knowledge and adherence to evidence-based central line protocols. The organization partnered with Amplifire and used its adaptive learning platform to assess 3,707 nurses, identify misinformation and uncertainty, and close critical knowledge gaps around CLABSI prevention.

Amplifire delivered a targeted one-session training experience that found and fixed confidently held misinformation in real time, supported by analytics for nurse leaders. The program helped drive a 29% reduction in CLABSI rates over 26 months, with 25,129 instances of confidently held misinformation and 29,838 instances of uncertainty corrected; the case study also reports a 2,505% ROI and breakeven shortly after the first month.
