A Amplience Case Study
Hotter Shoes, the UK’s largest shoe manufacturer known for stylish comfort and serving over four million customers (particularly women 65+), accelerated a digital transformation after COVID-19 forced the closure of 59 of its 82 stores in 2020. The business needed to better understand changing customer habits, engage its whole team in the shift, manage inventory more effectively and create content that increased dwell time and conversion across channels.
In June 2020 Hotter invested in Amplience’s unified commerce content platform, automating product media and enabling faster, more topical and personalised content that married storytelling with selling. The platform made it easier for teams to act on customer insights, align content across website, app, blog, social and email, and optimise stock placement—driving higher engagement, notable eCommerce growth during peak periods (20–27%), increased sales of targeted lines and a large influx of former in‑store shoppers to digital channels.
