The Gym Group is a rapidly growing UK no‑contract gym chain with over 230 sites and nearly 900,000 members who join and interact via its app and website. Facing an outdated, heavily customised CMS and slow ecommerce processes that hindered campaign execution, product launches and a critical rebrand, the company needed a flexible, composable platform that could support non‑traditional ecommerce use cases and integrate with its existing React frontend and Azure cloud stack.

The Gym Group implemented Amplience’s headless CMS and DAM as part of a MACH, composable architecture, enabling faster, more granular campaign orchestration and automated feeds into CRM and analytics. As a result, product launches now take 4–6 weeks instead of months, pre‑opening promotion windows expanded from 4 to 12 weeks, new gym sites can go live in as little as one week, site speed improved by 40%, and conversion and basket metrics rose by 100–150 basis points—positioning the business to scale toward 300 locations.
