Uperio Group and Compass Equipment cut diesel use by 9,000 gallons with Ampd Energy

Uperio Group and Compass Equipment faced a challenge powering electric tower cranes and construction elevators for a project in downtown Las Vegas. The limited local power grid initially required massive, inefficient diesel generators that were expensive, noisy, and consumed large amounts of fuel. Ampd Energy was engaged to provide a cleaner and more efficient power solution for the job site.

Ampd Energy implemented its Enertainer energy storage system (ESS) to power the equipment. This solution allowed the contractors to use much smaller generators, which were managed by the ESS to run only when necessary for charging. The use of Ampd Energy's technology resulted in the saving of 9,000 gallons of diesel, a reduction of 45 tonnes of CO2, and the project finishing two months ahead of schedule, all while making the site significantly quieter.
