Ellison Institute of Technology powers its Oxford site with Ampd Energy, preventing 1,763 tons of CO₂

The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) in Oxford, facing the challenge of powering a major construction site without the pollution and noise of diesel generators, partnered with Ampd Energy. The project, constructed by Laing O'Rourke, required a clean, reliable power source that aligned with EIT's commitment to sustainability and a healthier future.

Ampd Energy implemented its Enertainer energy storage systems (ESS) to provide fully electric power for the site's tower cranes and all operations. The solution eliminated the equivalent of over 1,600 kVa of diesel generators, prevented 1,763 tons of CO2 emissions, and created a quieter, safer worksite. This successful deployment by Ampd Energy demonstrated that large-scale construction projects can be executed efficiently and sustainably.
