City Developments Limited cuts construction energy costs 15% with Ampd Energy

City Developments Limited (CDL) faced the challenge of reducing the significant air and noise pollution caused by diesel generators at its Singapore construction sites. As part of its sustainability goals, the company sought a cleaner alternative to power heavy equipment like tower cranes. CDL partnered with vendor Ampd Energy to pilot its solution at the Irwell Hill Residences project.

Ampd Energy implemented its Enertainer energy storage system (ESS) to power the site's operations. The solution resulted in a 15% reduction in energy costs, a 76% cut in CO2 emissions (saving 455 tonnes), and saved 221,000 liters of diesel. Furthermore, the Ampd Enertainer significantly reduced noise pollution and eliminated on-site air pollution, while also saving approximately 700 man-hours in maintenance.
