U.S. Virgin Islands Increases Tourism Using Weather Data as Campaign Trigger

The U.S. Virgin Islands tourism board wanted to boost winter bookings by using data and audience insights more strategically. Working with Amobee, it looked for a way to reach travelers at the moment they were most likely to consider a warm-weather getaway.

Using Amobee’s Triggers solution, the campaign activated when temperatures fell below 32 degrees, delivering tailored ads across seven DMAs with weather-relevant messaging. The result was a 20% increase in desktop display CTR and a 22.5% increase in mobile social CTR, along with more bookings driven by the added site traffic.
