Althouse and Meade - Customer Case Study

Althouse and Meade Inc., a Paso Robles environmental consulting firm, needed to replace slow pen-and-paper and Trimble/ArcPad workflows for large-scale GIS data collection. They required a collaborative, user-friendly solution that worked offline for non‑GIS field staff and could capture spatial features and attributes quickly; after evaluating alternatives they selected AmigoCloud’s amigoCollect.

AmigoCloud deployed amigoCollect so A&M teams could record points, coordinates and full attribute forms on standard Android Samsung Galaxy tablets with Bluetooth GPS and upload directly into the company database. The setup and training were fast, and today four office staff and roughly 30 field workers use the system to collect GIS‑ready data offline, speeding workflows, reducing manual data entry and hardware costs, and enabling timely delivery of larger contracts (e.g., extensive rare‑plant mapping).
