A AMFG Case Study
Ricoh 3D, part of Ricoh, needed to replace manual methods for communicating with customers, quoting 3D-printed parts, and transferring jobs into production. As demand grew and the company moved further into end-part manufacturing, it turned to AMFG and its additive manufacturing MES software, including automated quotation and workflow tools, to help streamline the process.
With AMFG’s instant quoting, file upload, auto-analysis and repair, build-preparation, scheduling, machine monitoring, and shipping integrations, Ricoh 3D created a more automated digital thread from order to production. The result was a major improvement in speed and efficiency: quoting dropped from over 30 minutes to less than two minutes, customer ordering became faster and easier, and Ricoh 3D gained better traceability and quality control to support ISO 13485 compliance for medical part production.
