A AMFG Case Study
L'Oréal, one of the world’s largest cosmetics and beauty companies, needed a better way to manage the high volume of 3D printing requests coming through its 3DLab in Clichy, France. The team was handling prototype orders through emails, USB sticks, and manual costing, which created duplicate work, slowed turnaround times, and made it harder to support rapid product development. AMFG’s MES and workflow software was used to streamline this process and support L'Oréal’s additive manufacturing operations.
AMFG implemented a web request portal, instant price calculation, part visualisation, and project management tools so engineers could submit and track orders more easily while lab managers could automate pricing, file checking, billing, reporting, and stock data. The result was a more centralized and visible workflow that removed manual steps, reduced low-value tasks, and improved operational efficiency. After almost a year, L'Oréal said AMFG helped them produce prototypes faster and take the lab to the next level of productivity.
