Stadium Upgrades Enhance Fan Experience and Create Energy Savings for the County

Paul Brown Stadium in Hamilton County, OH faced temperature-control problems in club areas and outdated field and facility lighting that limited fan experience and non-game use. Ameresco was engaged to deliver budget-neutral infrastructure and energy-efficiency upgrades through an Energy Savings Performance Contract, including LED field lighting and advanced lighting control systems.

Ameresco installed HVAC control and boiler upgrades, water conservation measures, a locker-room recovery ventilator, building envelope improvements, and replaced 22,306 fixtures with LEDs plus a DMX lighting control and monitoring system. The $17.9M project produced more than $1.4M in annual energy and operational savings (including over $890K in taxpayer savings), improved field visibility and comfort, and increased stadium utilization.
