Solar Project Delivers Cost Savings and CO2 Reduction with Focus on Renewable Energy Education

Brophy College Preparatory School, a private Jesuit school in Phoenix, AZ, sought to increase campus sustainability, reduce energy costs, and support its Student Climate Coalition’s renewable energy education. To meet those goals, Brophy partnered with Ameresco to deploy solar PV roofmount and carport systems across the campus.

Ameresco executed a solar services agreement, developing and installing 488.43 kW of rooftop and 422.82 kW of carport arrays (911.25 kW DC total) and delivering three educational classes for students. The installations are projected to offset approximately 48% of Brophy’s annual electricity consumption, produce significant cost savings over a 25-year contract, and lower the school’s carbon footprint.
