Preview of the Wells Fargo Case Study

Innovative Solar Project Delivers Renewable Energy to Nearly 100 Properties in Eight States

Wells Fargo, aiming to accelerate its transition to a low‑carbon future and meet corporate energy goals while curbing climate change, partnered with Ameresco to expand onsite renewable generation. Ameresco deployed Solar PV arrays (rooftop and ground‑mount systems) across nearly 100 retail and corporate properties in AZ, CA, CT, IA, MN, NJ, NC and TX to address Wells Fargo’s need for locally sourced clean energy.

Ameresco delivered a 30 MW onsite solar portfolio that generates about 45,000 MWh annually, including projects such as a 6.5 MW carport/rooftop in Chandler, AZ, a 5.5 MW site in San Antonio, and a 2 MW ground mount in Des Moines. The Ameresco solution improved grid resiliency, created local jobs, increased tax revenue, added six acres of pollinator gardens, and helped Wells Fargo advance its renewable energy leadership with measurable local and corporate environmental benefits.
