Comprehensive Audit Uncovers Opportunities for Significant Energy and O&m Savings

Naples Community Hospital, a two-hospital, 716-bed nonprofit healthcare system in Florida, faced rising energy costs, equipment viability concerns, and humidity control challenges across its facilities. Ameresco’s Smart Building Solutions group worked with the hospital to assess its buildings and develop a long-term energy strategy.

Ameresco implemented a comprehensive investment-grade energy audit and 5-year Energy Master Plan, which led to upgrades including lighting and boiler plant improvements, chiller and cooling tower replacements, and retro-commissioning at the downtown campus. The project delivered substantial measurable savings, including $410,000 in annual natural gas savings and $325,000 in annual O&M savings, helping Naples Community Hospital better manage energy use and operating costs.
