Columbus Parks completes facilities condition assessment in record time with AssetPlanner® to determine unfunded liabilities and define Capital Improvement Plan

Columbus Recreation And Parks Department needed a fast, reliable way to assess its park and facility portfolio to quantify unfunded liabilities and create a Capital Improvement Plan after forming a new Design and Construction Division. The Department selected Ameresco and its AssetPlanner® asset management software (with Ameresco’s Capital Creation Strategies® expertise) to perform an enterprise Facility Condition Assessment across its facilities.

Ameresco’s team used AssetPlanner® to complete the Facility Condition Assessment in 11 months across more than 100 buildings (124 building portfolio), building a single data repository, calculating Facilities Condition Index (FCI) metrics, and categorizing deferred maintenance.
