Carson City Reduces Their Annual Electricity Consumption by 2,039,040 kWh

City of Carson sought to modernize aging infrastructure across 23 municipal facilities (553,468 sq ft) to create a more sustainable, reliable environment for staff and residents. To meet this challenge the City of Carson selected Ameresco to deliver an Energy Savings Performance Contract and citywide energy modernization program.

Ameresco implemented LED interior and exterior lighting, high-efficiency HVAC and boiler replacements, upgraded energy management controls, and building envelope air sealing. The project (valued at $4,246,786) delivered guaranteed savings and measurable impacts: annual energy savings of $183,516, a reduction of 2,039,040 kWh electricity and 65,108 therms of natural gas, and 1,598 tons fewer CO2 emissions, along with reduced maintenance costs and improved comfort.
