Flexibility and scalability without adding more hardware

B&M Waste Services, a 65-year-old UK waste management firm with 200+ employees and multiple collection locations, faced scalability and efficiency challenges as it expanded its service area. To replace a patchwork of on‑premises servers and legacy systems and to speed up order processing and invoicing, B&M upgraded its ERP from on‑premises AMCS Enterprise Management to the AMCS Group Cloud‑based Platform, seeking real‑time data, easier scaling, and reduced hardware investment.

AMCS Group migrated B&M to the cloud, freeing up seven on‑premises servers and delivering features like real‑time truck weighing, mobile tablet workflows, a Subcontractor module for bulk automated matching and invoicing, online customer portals, and faster support and testing environments. The move improved billing accuracy, cut manual data entry, reduced overweight collections (saving “massive amounts” according to B&M), accelerated issue resolution, and gave B&M the flexibility to scale and add new locations with less hardware and administration.
