SUEZ Consulting, representing SUEZ Division Recovery & Recycling, faced a decentralized, largely manual routing operation for thousands of vehicles and needed to reduce its key KPI — “time per order” — while increasing productivity. To address this, they engaged AMCS Group and its AMCS Intelligent Optimization suite (Route Planner and Fleet Planner) to centralize planning, handle complex waste scenarios including roll-on/roll-off containers, and replace Excel-based route management.

AMCS Group implemented Route Planner for optimized master routes and Fleet Planner for dynamic planning, improving driver-acceptable routes and enabling fast scenario modeling for tenders. The deployment delivered measurable gains: a 3–5% increase in collection productivity from Route Planner, ~30% time savings per planner with Fleet Planner, and a 2–3.6% reduction in time per order in fully rolled-out regions, while enabling better cost simulations and a planned wider global rollout.
