eTakeoff increases Bridge users dramatically with AMC Bridge

eTakeoff, a provider of electronic quantity takeoff solutions, faced a challenge in meeting user demand for integration between its eTakeoff Bridge middleware and the commonly used BIM software, Autodesk Navisworks. This integration was needed to facilitate 3D model-based quantification. eTakeoff enlisted the expertise of vendor AMC Bridge to develop this add-on.

AMC Bridge developed the Autodesk Navisworks Integrator, an add-on for eTakeoff Bridge implemented as two intercommunicating plugins. This solution established a bi-directional data exchange between Autodesk Navisworks and the Sage Estimating system. The results were highly successful; the release of the plugin led to a dramatic increase in the number of eTakeoff Bridge users. Furthermore, eTakeoff's clients experienced accelerated productivity for estimation engineers due to a simplified workflow and better visualization.
