Desktop Metal launches first-of-its-kind Live Sinter simulation with AMC Bridge

Desktop Metal, a manufacturer of metal 3D printers, faced the challenge of predicting part shrinkage and deformation during the metal sintering process. To overcome the limitations of existing additive manufacturing technologies, they selected vendor AMC Bridge to develop a specialized simulation software application.

AMC Bridge developed the first-of-its-kind Live Sinter application, which simulates the sintering process to predict part behavior under high temperatures. The solution provided a competitive advantage, allowing Desktop Metal to expand its client base and offer users a tool that produces higher quality, defect-free parts with reliable dimensional accuracy.
